Gordon Merrill Briggs, Jr.
March 6, 1962--February 16, 2022 (age 59)

Gordon Merrill Briggs Jr. was born on March 6, 1962, in Pendleton, Oregon to parents Gordon and Betty Green Briggs. He passed away on February 16, 2022, at the age of 59 years old.
Gordon graduated from Pendleton High School and Rogue Community College.
In 1997 Gordon moved to Arizona to help his father build a self-sustaining home. After a year, his heart called him back to the trees and mountains and he returned to Pendleton. Gordon worked as a maintenance worker for many years until 2016 when he retired due to a disability. In 2017, he moved to Hermiston, OR and made his home at Guardian Angel Homes until his death.
Gordon was an extremely kind, loving, gentle, and peaceful, person who lived each day with love in his heart and a love for Jesus. He was a 49er fan, and loved mocha’s, apple pie and pizza. He loved to ride motorcycles and enjoyed fishing very much. He did a lot of hunting in earlier years.
Gordon was a brother, and uncle. He loved his nieces and nephews and cherished photos of them from their travels and everyday life.
Gordon is survived by his siblings Denise Harman, Kimberly Ables, and Gary Briggs
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on February 23 at 11:00 at Burns Mortuary in Hermiston followed by graveside services at 1:00 at Olney Cemetery in Pendleton, Oregon. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements.
