Velva Rose Denton
October 9, 1917--November 13, 2022 (age 105)

Velva Rose Denton, 105 of Pendleton died on Sunday, November 13, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held at Burns Mortuary of Pendleton's Chapel on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.

Velva was born on October 9, 1917 in The Dalles, Oregon to Charlie and Muril Maire Hanna. Velva married Robert E. Denton on February 11, 1949, in Pendleton. Robert passed away on November 25, 2002.

Velva worked at Eastern Oregon State Hospital for many years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She volunteered at the Historical Society and the Pendleton Round-up and Happy Canyon Hall of Fame.

Velva is survived by her grandsons Bo Ostrander and Shawn Lieuallen; granddaughters Katy Chaffin and Jill Johnson. Other survivors include niece Bobi Lastinger, seven great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by husband Robert, daughter Linda Dianne Lieuallen, her parents and sisters Charlotte and Emogene.
