Dale Burton Bloxom, passed away June 17, 2024 at a local care facility following a stroke.

Born October 22, 1936 in North Platte, Nebraska to Golden Minor "Bill" Bloxom and Frances Edna Gorham, he was the youngest of four boys--Donald, Max & Stan.

The family moved to Prosser, Washington by 1950 and he graduated from Prosser High School in 1954. Following graduation Dale joined the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1962.

in 1963 he married Leona "Mickey" Ellingson, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and their first child, Trisha, was born later that year in Richland, Washington. Shortly after the birth of their first child, they moved to Pendleton, Oregon where Dale began working for Keith Farley Chrysler Plymouth as a car salesman and was the voice of their radio ads as "The Walking Man's Friend."

In 1965 their second daughter, Beth was born in Pendleton.

In the mid-70's he began working at Prowler Industries (Fleetwood Travel Trailers) in the sales department in Pendleton and was transferred to Merced, California in 1977. The family moved back to Pendleton in 1978 where he began working for Golden West Homes.

In 1984 Dale & Mickey moved to the Seattle area, with moves later to Kennewick, Sedro Wooley, and Bellingham, Washington and then moving back to Pendleton in the late 1990's.

Mickey had a stroke in 1992 and Dale was her caregiver until 2012 when he was no longer able to continue with her care. She moved into a care facility in Pendleton and he visited her twice a day every day until her passing in 2014. When Mickey moved to Suttle Care, he moved in with his daughter, Trisha and her husband Clark, living with them until his passing.

He enjoyed golf, was a past President of the Country Club in Pendleton, bowling, fishing, and was a big Mariners and Seahawks fan. In the years he lived with his daughter, he enjoyed going to Shari's for coffee with his buddies and always trying his luck at video poker!

He is survived by his daughters Trisha (Clark) Olson of Pendleton, Oregon and Beth (David) Richards of Baker City, Oregon; grandchildren: Justin (Angie) Olson, Allison (CJ) Severin, Danielle (Michael) Everton, Jill (Brandon) Snow, Kennan (Britanni) Richards, Colten (Jessie) Richards, and Madison (Michael) Chadwick; and 24 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
