Obituary
Linda Marie Clark
September 12, 1950-April 6, 2023
Beloved daughter, sister, mom, grandma, and Gigi, Linda Marie Clark, passed away on April 6, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. Linda was 72 years old and was surrounded by family when she went peacefully to heaven. She was beautiful inside and out and will be dearly missed.
Linda was born to Woody and Julie Clark on Sept. 12, 1950, in Prairie City, Oregon. Shortly after that, her parents moved to Pendleton where she lived most of her life. She played an integral part in helping raise her six younger siblings. She married Rick Thomas in 1971 and they had two children, Ricky and Julie. They were later divorced. She spent most of her career working for the family business, Woodpecker Truck, where she retired in 2020.
Linda was passionate about her faith and sharing the love of Jesus with others. She was a dedicated member of her congregation and enjoyed sponsoring many children through Compassion Ministries. Now that she has passed into the arms of the Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Linda's physical life on the Earth, it is the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for Linda.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Julie Clark.
She is survived by her children, Ricky Thomas of Weston, Oregon; Julie (Scott) Harper of Helix, Oregon; father, Woody Clark of Pendleton, Oregon; brothers, Eddy Clark of Pendleton, Oregon, John (Jackie) Clark of Dayton, Wyoming, and Dan (Toni) Clark of Kennewick, Washington; sisters Mary (Steve) Gaynor of Cave Junction, Oregon, Julie (Brent) Shepherd of Sammamish, Washington, Monica (Francis) Mercy of Barvaux, Belgium and Vicky Clark-Schmidt of Pendleton, Oregon; grandchildren Timothy (Jen) Allen of Bozeman, Montana, Kyla Harper of Walla Walla, Washington, and Blake Harper of Helix, Oregon; great-grandchildren, Auriel Allen and Rowan Allen of Bozeman, Montana; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a private, family only graveside burial at Olney Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. for the public at Living Word Christian Center, 401 Northgate, Pendleton, Oregon.
