Aaron Edwin 'Ed' Wells
Nov. 27, 1922-June 25, 2004

PENDLETON - Aaron Edwin "Ed" Wells, 81, who worked at Keith Farley Chrysler/Plymouth in Pendleton for 25 years, died Friday, June 25, 2004, at Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial Veterans Administration Medical Center in Walla Walla.

A graveside funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, at Olney Cemetery.

Mr. Wells was born Nov. 27, 1922, at Arkansas City, Kan., to Roy Willis and Anna Sterber Wells. He grew up in Dodge City, Kan., and graduated from Dodge City High School then attended Dodge City Junior College.

He joined the Army in 1943, serving with Company B 836 Engineers during World War II.

On Aug. 1, 1946, he married Margie Ellouise Phipps at Yakima. They lived in the Yakima Valley area before coming to Pendleton in 1964.

Mr. Wells worked for Keith Farley Chrysler/Plymouth dealership, retiring after 25 years.

He was a reserve police officer for the Pendleton Police Department.

Survivors include his wife, Margie, of Pendleton; sons, Edwin L. Wells, and wife, Andrea, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Lonnie Wells, and wife, Charlene, of Fairview; daughter, Becky Anderson and husband, John, of Pendleton; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Howard, Clarence, and LeRoy, a half brother, Felix Skinner, and a sister, Millie Edmunds.
