Obituary

Blanche E. Kemp of La Grande passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of February 7, 2020. She was born February 17, 1922 in Umatilla, Oregon; the first of 4 children born to Theodore and Esther Pound. She grew up in Umatilla, Oregon. In her later teens she attended business school in Portland. There she met Wiley B. Kemp and they were married in December, 1942 in Vancouver, Washington. They had three sons. She was preceded in death by her husband Wiley and middle son, Jim. She is survived by sons Tom of Clarkston, Washington and Mark of La Grande, Oregon, sisters Ellen Wright of Bend, Oregon and Yvonne Day of Pilot Rock, Oregon. She has 4 grandsons and 8 great-grandchildren. On February 17th, Blanche would have been 98 years young.
