Leola Violet (Sergant) Barnes
December 31, 1926--January 18, 2023 (age 96)

Leola Violet Barnes was born on December 31, 1926, in Pendleton to parents Fred and Violet (Bostwick) Sergant. Leola died on January 18, 2023 at a local care facility.

Leola got married in 1946 to James D. Barnes Sr. in Walla Walla, Washington. They were blessed with 4 sons and a daughter. She was a member of the Pendleton First Christian Church. Her family was very important to her, and she was equally important to them.

Leola is survived by her son Jim Barnes Jr., of Pendleton, 7 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James D. Barnes, Sr.; sons, Don Tonning, David Barnes, Raymond Barnes and her daughter Carol White.
