Annette Jean Scott
Former Pendleton resident Annette Jean Scott, 51, of Jackson, Wyoming, died Friday, May 29, 2009, in a traffic accident near Castlebar, Ireland while on vacation. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17 at the First Christian Church in Pendleton, in the fellowship hall. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 pm at Olney Cemetery, with a reception back at the fellowship hall from 4-5 p.m.
Ms. Scott was born Nov. 28, 1957, to Grant and Joyce Leverenz. She attended schools in Pendleton, Tumwater, Wash., and Seattle, and was adopted by Joyce's husband Harlow Scott after Grant's death in 1968.
After college she moved to California, where she worked for the Anaheim Stadium and Bear Valley Ski Resort doing public relations, and the San Francisco law firm of Evans, Latham, Harris, Campisi and Wolfe. From California she moved to Jackson, Wyo., and became a travel agent for Aspen Travel.
Ms. Scott is survived by her parents, Joyce and Harlow Scott; sister Cindy Carter; aunts Barbara Harris and Marjorie Steagall and uncle Lester Methers; three nephews and a niece; and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Grant Leverenz; grandparents Mervin and Stella Meiners and Roy and Winifred Leverenz; aunt Linda Meiners; and uncle Errol Harris.
